Celebration of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (20/11)

        On morning of November 19, 2011, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Teachers’ College solemnly celebrated the 29th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (11/20/1982 - 11/20/2011).

Attending the meeting, besides officials teachers and workers of the school, there were other participants who came from the Intermediate Border School, Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu Military College, Navy Brigade 171, local businesses… Especially, the former officials and teachers of the school also homed, that made the meeting more intimate.     A lot of government bodies and associations sent flowers to congratulate the school. Saigon Trọng Tín – a company that provides office machine and equipment – offered 10,000,000 VND to Study Promotion Fund.

After the art performance welcoming the meeting with special acts collected from more than 100 others in different classes, youth union branches, Mr. Nguyễn Thiện Thắng, the president of the Trade Union delivered a speech. He reviewed the history and the tradition of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day – 20/11, and evoked a good tradition “teachers respected, morality regarded”, and called for sense of study, creativeness in managerial and teaching staff, workers and students in the school.

Also, in the meeting, the representatives of teachers’ generations retired or on duty expressed their emotion, enthusiasm for their teaching job and memories when at school. On behalf of the future teachers, student Nguyễn Thị Minh Trang expressed the students’ deep gratitude to the teachers and offered flowers to the teachers; Trang also expressed the strong belief in the teachers of many generations, and promised to study and practice very hard in order to succeed the glorious tradition of the teaching job.

In the meeting, Mr. Hồ Cảnh Hạnh – the Communist Party Committee Secretary also the Principle of the school offered flowers and presents to veteran teachers, thanked sponsors who participated the meeting and gave flowers and presents to the school. On this occasion, two teachers were added their names to the list of the teachers who were awarded education medals from the Education Ministry.
