The 20th national mathematical olympic contest result of the students of ba ria - vung tau teacher training college – 2012
National Mathematical Olympic Contest is a common playing field for students who love math from the institutes, universities and colleges across the nation. Started in 1993, the contest has been held regularly by the Ministry of Education and Training, Union of Science and Technology Associations of Vietnam, Vietnamese Mathematical Association and co-organized by the Vietnamese Students Association for 20 years and honored many students who are good at math.
The 20th contest took place at the University of Phu Yen, Phu Yen province Tuy Hoa City from 9th to 15th April, 2012. This time, It brought together more than 600 students from 77 institutes, universities and colleges in the country. This is also one of the largest-scale contests on the most ever and received great attention of the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Communist Party, Ministry of Education and Training, Vietnamese Mathematical Association and the Central of Vietnamese Students Association.
Olympic Mathematical Delegation of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Teacher Training College led by Mr. Phan The Hai as the chief of the team, Mr. Trinh Ngoc Phuc as the deputy chief and 9 students in class 13A1 participated in two subjects: Algebra and Analytic. The delegation achieved high results including a second prize, 2 third prizes and a consolation prize.

The contest did not measure the order of the teams, if the achievement was temporarily classified, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Teacher Training College team was a strong team, ranked No. 22 out of 75 about Algebra subject and ranked 48th of 70 about Analytic subject. This achievement once again confirmed the position of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Teacher Training College on the mathematical map of Vietnamese students. Congratulations on the team's achievements.
Closing ceremony of the contest was broadcast live on VTV2 at 8.30 pm on May 14, 2012. Goodbye Tuy Hoa, Phu Yen province where people received gentleness and hospitability, Let’s see each other again at Duy Tan University, Da Nang City in April, 2013 at the 21st National Mathematical Olympic Contest.
