Vietnam-Indonesia Culture Day

With a view to strengthening the solidarity of the two countries and having better understanding of the cultures of the two Vietnam and Indonesia, with the permission of the provincial People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau and the agreement of the Indonesian Consulate General in HCMC - the  so-called "Vietnam - Indonesia Culture Day", was jointly organized on the 30th of May 2015 at Ba Ria - Vung Tau Teacher Training College with the participation of the art troupes of Indonesian Consulate General in HCMC and more than 500 students from the institutions namely Ba Ria - Vung Tau Teacher Training College, the University of Petroleum and Vocational College.

The Vietnam - Indonesia Culture Day, towards the Consulate of Indonesia, had the attendance of Mr. Excellence Jean Anes, Consulate General of Indonesia in Ho Chi Minh City and other members. As for Vietnam, there was Ms.Do Thi Nhu Mai, chairman of the Union of Friendship Organizations as well as some leader representatives of various provincial departments and agencies in the province. When it comes to Ba Ria - Vung Tau Teacher Training College, Dr Ho Canh Hanh, the Party Secretary and Rector of the school and some other officials and school lecturers attended the event.

The two sides have given the cultural exchange program featured and typical dances of their cultural identity. Besides, the display of arts, costume, cuisine and the like of Vietnam and Indonesia also contributed to giving the participants different feelings and offered people opportunities to have better grasp of the cultures of the two countries in question. It is such a cultural exchange program like this would give the officials, lecturers and students of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Teacher Training College chances to learn and enrich their knowledge about Indonesia, an Asean member country.
